Ha...I know what you mean about buttonhole gadgets. Have you tried just doing it manually with the machine? First measure your buttons. Then decide on where you want the holes: spacing and direction. Put marks in pencil, making the marks about an eighth inch longer than the buttons. Then do a wide zigzag at one end at zero stitch length, change to a narrow zigzag and very short stitch length to go to the other end. Then do the whole thing again going the other way. Aline the narrow zigzags as close as possible without touching and do those straight too. That's how I do it because those gadgets are too much relearning each time and never quite succeeding for me.greelyritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11337031538589833151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1575227229193240343.post-85469755230694187532011-12-21T20:33:34.603-06:002011-12-21T20:33:34.603-06:00Zippers and buttons holes are not my friends :(Zippers and buttons holes are not my friends :(Sheilahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12527472166860525332noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1575227229193240343.post-73369507091465598472011-12-21T19:25:40.703-06:002011-12-21T19:25:40.703-06:00did you try a stableizer under the fabric when mak...did you try a stableizer under the fabric when making your button holes ....You are right that practice will help you feel comfortable with your button hole making<br />Merry ChristmasIn stitches and seamshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04470746389742903493noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1575227229193240343.post-9777078239445107322011-12-21T19:24:51.013-06:002011-12-21T19:24:51.013-06:00I have never tried to make a button hole...I share...I have never tried to make a button hole...I share your fear..lolMrs.Pickleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07678592143938874654noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1575227229193240343.post-31566193755249004702011-12-21T15:26:15.795-06:002011-12-21T15:26:15.795-06:00Ah, slap a cute button on and who notices!
