I am at the quilting stage with "Mother Earth" ...and found a great tutorial by Rachel over at Stitched in Color on how to do Continuous Eight FMQ. I thought this would be perfect for this quilt!
Because this quilt is made from jelly roll strips, it made the spacing pretty easy.
I have not quilted into the sashing between the blocks yet.....not sure what I am going to do with them. I thought that I would wait until I got this part done and see what it looks like than.
So far it is going pretty well. Every now and again I have a "squidge" on one of the loops....but you know what? It really doesn't matter! Once it is washed I find it is always impossible to find those little mistakes ! That is my theory anyway!

ReplyDeleteFantastic! Thanks for sharing =)
ReplyDeleteGreat job! I love when a quilt pattern makes fmq that much easier.
ReplyDeleteI think it is that left-brain/right brain thing, but it looks wonderful and can't wait to see the finished quilt.
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with your quilting. I still quake with fear at the thought of it.
ReplyDeleteI like your theory!
