OMG!!

OMG!!!  Why didn't I change my rotary cutter blade a week ago....instead of trying to squeeze a few more cuts out of the old one???  Do you do that too??? or is it just me?? I hate throwing the blades in the garbage!

...but  what an amazing difference!! It is like I just discovered slice bread!

  1. It's like not changing the needle on your sewing machine until it breaks...... I think we all do that to.

  2. Ditto------I do the same, even though I have stocked up on new blades when I have a Joann's coupon. I'll remember your post next time i try to squeeze a few more cuts our of a dull/nicked blade.

  3. I do the same thing - use the darn thing until it can't cut any more and there is no excuse really - I always have at least one extra blade on hand if not a package of 5. I don't change my needles as often as I should either.

  4. There are little machines you can get to sharpen the dull ones and reuse them...

  8. isn't it insane? I get the same thrill with a newly cleaned iron, or a freshly oiled & vacuumed machine. lol

  9. I do the same thing! But they don't go directly into the garbage, first they go into a spare cutter, to be used for paper until the next time I change a blade. And I actually save them in an old container so nobody gets cut with them in the garbage. Happy to have found you, through the Winter White Block Exchange, now a new follower!

  10. Blades are so costly and I fret over what to do with them when they're not good for cutting anymore. Has anyone tried one of those rotary blade sharpeners? I wonder if they work. Both of my rotary cutters that need their blades replaced RIGHT NOW but I delay ... Thanks for the reminder to replace them and start 2013 with fresh blades.
