Leap Day Giveaway Blog Hop!



.....except in leap year, which comes once in four....then it has one day more!!

Yes, it is leap year...and it is Leap Day!! And it is time for the Leap Day Giveaway Blog Hop!!


So...what have I got for you.... I want to give away one of these handy thread catchers...

I love using mine. It sits beside my machine, or when I am hand stitching it sits on the arm of my couch. I love it! Hope you do too.

So here is the scoop:
  • this draw is open  until midnight (Central Standard Time)  tomorrow- Feb 29- Leap Day .

    Oh, I'd love to have one of this. I keep thinking to make one but never get to it.
    Well there is one thing I'm going to do tomorrow: I was told today that here in Ireland it is tradition that women can propose on a leap day, so that's what I'm going to do. We've been always talking about it and nothing happens, so I'm going to take the lead here!

    I am LEAPing to get some dolls I promised my son's kinder done. They are looking at dolls this year and I need to sew 40 dolls so each child can stuff, decorate and design their own doll. I am up to number 29 and still need to cut them all out. Thankfully they aren't that complicated and I don't need to turn them.

    I have never heard of a thread catcher before, and now that I have, I wonder what i have been doing without one. My sewing room has a carpet and it's such a pain to sweep off the thread bits off the floor, uuugh. I would love to win your giveaway. I am leaping the year at work.

    I am leaping to get a bunch of baking done today for my weekend retreat I will be attending. I have also been whipping up some mug rugs to share with my fellow quilters; as well as getting all my pieces cut for the weekend so I can just SEW to my heart's content! :)

    I've always wanted one of these, since my friend Elizabeth (of Such a Sew and Sew) first showed me what they are. Isn't she great? What I scurried to get done today was my blog post, for the Blog Hop...and what I must scurry to do tonight is reply on everyone's blogs! Oh, that, and make dinner for my family...

    Love the thread catcher! I lept to get my house set up for a sit-n-sew tomorrow. A bit of rearranging is required - ironing board in front of the fireplace, design wall ready to go in front of the slider door, cutting stations on top of the dishwasher...

    I've seen these before and would love to have one for by my machine. I shoveled heavy, wet snow this morning so my leap has left the building. A comfy chair with a quilt is more my speed right now. Thanks for the chance at your giveaway.

    I'm leaping to get a quilt done for a friend's birthday. It's Camille Roskelley's pattern Wallflower. I've made two of them before and just love it. I work best with a deadline. Her birthday is April, so i think I'll make it.

    I finished out leap day by finishing the binding on a quilt for our bed! The pincushion/thread catcher, is just what I need. I love the fabric, it is so much nicer than a paper bag!
