I am so excited!! I promised myself that once I finished a few of these quilts, I could move on to something new. Well, I haven't exactly kept that promise, and have started a couple of new things along the way......but now that I have finished the Yellow Brick Road quilt I feel completely free to move on!!
I usually am drawn to bright colors. I love yellow and red, and green....and blue...and of course white!
But I thought that I should try something different. I am going to try using dark colors.....
Not quite sure what I will do yet, but am looking through books and magazines to get some inspiration! ...so I am exploring my dark side :)

ohh how fun -starting from scratch with new fabrics and new ideas! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteI love the print with the red berries with the green, red and circles on dark - the light would work, but I think the other 2 darks would wash it all out to a blah! Look at them thru a red plastic film (RUBY is an actual red viewer) - is shows only the hues and you will see if there is enough tonal. Or use your photo and set to grey scale and see what the tones are.
ReplyDeleteDon't you just love the potential awaiting new fabric! I love to see it all nice and folded and think of all the possibilities! I guess that's why I have such a stash!

I love dark fabrics-----these will all work together well. Keep those creative juices rolling.
ReplyDeleteThat watermelon red is going to pop beautifully against the other fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see what you come up with...I'm sure it will be beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI love these fabrics and I love bright...
