Work in Progress party again...and it is the 1 year anniversary, so check out Freshly Pieced for the Anniversary Edition!!
Sorry, I know you are probably tired of seeing bags, but thats what is in the works this week!!
Another Daytripper bag...the last of the Christmas gift bags....just need to buy some buttons for the front..
and this one...although I am not sure I like the red binding on this...might have to change that.
I made one of these before, and had some material leftover, so thought that I would make one more to use it up. They are a nice size, about 18" across. I added a little pocket on the inside this time.
Other works in progress:
Oh, and the ballet last night was very good. It was quite modern, so not as traditional as some ballets, and the costumes were beautiful...I love those flowing chiffon skirts and the pointe shoes !! :)
I think I kind of needed a break from the FMQ that I need to do to finish up 2 more quilts, so more bags!!

nice bags, I like the fabric you chose. someone is very lucky to be receiving a handmade bag for Christmas :)
ReplyDeleteNice job on the bag. It's good to get things crossed off the Christmas projects list!
ReplyDeleteI love seeing what you are working on-I'm always impressed!
ReplyDeleteI had to click to enlarge that fun floral bag to see if I liked the red binding, and I have to say I do! It keeps the bag looking "zesty" and fun. What other color would you be considering, if not that one?
ReplyDeleteCongrats on getting another Daytripper bag finished. I still have my sketches up on the pinwall--no progress on mine at all.

Sometimes i think it is better (safer) not to list the UFO's. I don't think I will be listing mine any time soon
ReplyDeleteLove the daytripper bag, is that a pattern? It looks nice and roomy!
ReplyDeleteGreat daytripper bag! I haven't screwed up the courage to try to make one yet!
ReplyDeleteThat Daytripper bag sure looks aptly named! So roomy!
ReplyDeleteFun bags! I just finished making my first purse today - complete with magnetic clasp. I think more are going to be on my list too.
ReplyDeleteI love making bags and yours are great!
ReplyDeleteGreat bags, looks like you are having fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat bags - one can never have to many :)
ReplyDeleteThat daytripper bag is so cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on the bags
ReplyDeleteI think the red binding looks great on it - and makes it easy to see when you're trying to find your bag in a sea of other bags at a party!
ReplyDeleteI'm so impressed with people who make bags - in my head, they're tricksy, difficult things, designed to make you weep with frustration when you sew the lining on the wrong way...
That overnighter looks gorgeous, though - pretty and practical all at once!
Those bags look great! I wish I had the sewing skill to do that kind of work.
ReplyDeleteYour daytripper bag looks amazing! My bags never come out that good.
ReplyDeleteYour bags are fantastic and I would say that the best part of making a bag.. picking out the buttons!! Happy Sewing!
ReplyDeleteDone with Christmas Bags? I'm so impressed. Good job.
ReplyDeleteNice job on the bags, and you're so ahead of the game! Thanks for linking up to WIP Wednesday. : )
ReplyDeleteSuch great bags! I like the red binding :)
ReplyDeleteI love seeing bags, no problem with that! They look great!
ReplyDeleteI have no problem seeing bags, people are probably tired of seeing baby gifts on mine, lol. I am so glad you enjoyed the ballet, the costumes were always my favorite part I have to admit!
