I feel like I have been away for a long time..and in fact have not blogged for a very long time. I am still here....and actually have been getting some sewing in now and again!
My finish: Purple Parade...
I tried straight line quilting for this one, on the diagonal. I didn't have a Hera marker (gotta get me one of those!) but used the edge of my sewing machine screw driver to make a light mark to follow...
The back is a mauve fabric, with a few of the leftover blocks from the front.
I think purple is my new favourite colour!
My daughter was home for a couple of weeks....so I had a little helper with me...Zoe...isn't she cute!
So I am going to link up to TGIFF and go over and see what inspiration there is in everybody else's finishes. Have a good weekend!

Well you had a big day and lots of things to do and then recoup. Love the purple quilt and oh, what a sweet face, kisses!
ReplyDeleteA great finish Flo, purple seems to be the "it" color this season. I see it everywhere, guess I better add so me to my stash. I haven't tried the hera marker either.
ReplyDeletei really like the way you use 'leftover' blocks on the back of the quilt...makes the back so much more interesting!
ReplyDeletecheers
